We are excited to share that PhD student Matthew Mehrtens has been awarded the highly competitive National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (NDSEG Fellowship).
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, the NDSEG Fellowship is one of the most selective graduate fellowships in science and engineering. Established in 1989, the program supports students pursuing research aligned with national defense priorities, with an emphasis on fundamental advances that enable next-generation technologies. Fellows are chosen through a rigorous, merit-based process that recognizes exceptional academic achievement and research potential. The award provides three years of full support, including tuition, stipend, and travel funding.
Congratulations Matthew!
